Project Description
Solve challenging noise issues for mechanical piping systems with the Vinaflex® line of noise blocking products.
Vinaflex® Noise Barrier
A flexible, non reinforced mass loaded Vinyl that resists the passage of sound waves and reduces the transmission of airborne noise in mechanical piping applications.
Vinaflex® Noise Barrier (VN)
Vinaflex® Noise Barrier (VN) is ideal for direct application to the noise source and/or to the housing covering the noise source.
Features
- Multiple weights
- Temperature range: -40ºF to 180ºF
- Thickness: .100″
Sizes Available:
VN-50 | (1/2 lb./sq. ft.) | 48″ x 50′ |

Vinaflex® (RR) Reinforced Rolls
Vinaflex™ (RR) utilizes a high strength poly fabric in combination with mass loaded vinyl to dramatically improve its durability, tear and hanging strength. Vinaflex™ (RR) Noise Barrier won’t shrink, rot or cause metal corrosion and also features a strong resistance to adverse environmental conditions and UV light.
Features
- Density: 1 lb./sq. ft.
- Roll sizes: 54 in by 30 ft.
- Applications that require a free hanging acoustical curtain panel
Vinaflex® with Foil Facing (FF)
Vinaflex™ (FF) Noise Barrier is a flexible, mass-loaded vinyl barrier faced with a scrim-reinforced foil on one side. Vinaflex™ (FF) is used for wrapping noisy pipes, ducts, and valves in a wide variety of applications. Can be used in industrial and commercial applications.
Features
Vinaflex® FF-100 is ASTM E-84 Class “A” rated.
Sizes available:
FF-50 (1/2 lb./sq. ft.) – 48 in x 50 ft
FF-100 (1 lb./sq. ft.) – 48 in x 50 ft
FF-100 (1 lb./sq. ft.) – 54 in x 50 ft
Applications: Piping, LNG lines, oil and gas lines
Vinaflex® VP
Vinaflex® (VP) Noise Barrier is a flexible, mass loaded vinyl laminated to a quilted fiberglass decoupler on one or both sides. The combination forms a thin, light-weight acoustical product that displays excellent mechanical properties, while providing superior sound transmission loss. Sound waves originating from the source will be initially absorbed by the fiberglass and then blocked by the mass loaded vinyl. Any reflected sound wave component will be further dissipated into the fiberglass absorber.
Available in:
VP1 = 1” quilted fiberglass
VP2 = 2” quilted fiberglass
Sizes available:
VP1-1001″ (1 lb./sq. ft.) – 54 in x 30 ft
VP1-200″ (2 lb./sq. ft.) – 48 in x 30 ft
VP2-100″ (1 lb./sq. ft.) – 54 in x 30 ft
VP2-200″ (2 lb./sq. ft.) – 48 in x 30 ft
Applications: Piping, LNG lines, oil and gas lines, HVAC
